Easter—that prime example of God’s “agape” unconditional and freely given love! Join us for our Sunday celebration of the day when “Love triumphs over hate” and we learn that death is not the final answer.

So what is this “Easter”? The GOOD NEWS of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus isn’t some dogmatic teaching. It’s a call to live a new life in full relationship with God and with all of God’s children—no matter who they are or where they might be on life’s journey. Here at St. John’s, we are followers of a Jesus, who is all of God that could fit into human form. Easter reminds us that Jesus led a life that challenged and subverted the dominant worldly powers—the ones competing with God. Then when those powers executed him, God redeems that hateful, humiliating tragedy by resurrecting Jesus to show us that nothing can separate us from God’s love!

We hope to see you (dress however you like, casual is fine) on Sunday, March 27 for Easter worship at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s on the Lake / A Miami Beach Progressive Church.
