Join your friends, family, and neighbors at St John’s on the Lake for our Christmas Eve worship celebration. Starting at 5:30 p.m. in our sanctuary, we will join together in singing our favorite Christmas Carols, hear the traditional Christmas scriptures, and thrill to the lighting of all the candles as we sing, Silent Night and Joy to the World.
We will hear again these prophetic words of faith and promise, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light… for unto us a Child is born.” We will hear again, the angels proclaim, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.”
Christmas Eve is always one of the highlights of any church’s gathering experiences; it’s a great occasion to gather around, celebrating again and again, the joy of being a faith community, striving to express the solidarity of being with folks who so fervently follow the Prince of Peace, the God who sends Love to our world. Even now, as our world struggles again and again with darkness and violence, come join us in lighting a candle to light up our world.
