PRIDE SUNDAY!

Friends, join us for the Miami Beach Pride Parade THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 10th! St. John’s has a history of marching in the parade each year to bear witness to God’s love for the LGBTQ+ community. This is a great opportunity to offer love to our community and do the work of ministry in this city. We are excited yet again to march in the parade and extend our arms and hearts to God’s beloved people.

If you’d like to march in the parade with us, please meet us on the green space between 5th and 6th Streets on Ocean Dr. by 11am to line up! We will have t-shirts for all those who attend. Be sure to wear your sunscreen and to stay hydrated. I hope you’ll come CELEBRATE PRIDE with us!

Because of the parade, we will NOT be having our regular worship service. If you are not able to march in the parade and would still like to join a worship service, feel free to attend First United Methodist Church of Miami in-person (245 NW 8th St. Miami, FL 33136) or online (https://firstchurchmiami.org/worship-live/) at 11:30am.

Next week we will also be offering Maundy Thursday (4/15) and Good Friday (4/16) services in the sanctuary of St. John’s at 7:30pm both days. We also gather here at St. John’s next Sunday, April 17th to celebrate Easter! We will have a sunrise service on our back patio at 7am and also our normal service at 11am in the sanctuary. If you would like to purchase an Easter lily to be displayed during the service that day, please follow the instructions in the announcement below.

I hope you’ll stay connected and join us for these meaningful events over the next week and a half!

Have a great weekend! Happy Pride!

Peace and blessings,

Pastor Kipp
