Who is exhausted from reading the Bible?
If you have been following along with our sermon series or daily devotionals you will know that this week we are finally at the last book of the Bible, Revelation!
We are officially done with reading the Bible…..
Just kidding.
Although we end now with Revelation we know that this book is really not about “the end” but rather a new beginning.
Throughout the book the author cast a vision for a new heaven and new earth where there will be no more tears or pain.
In many ways the writer gives us a lens to interpret all of our endings…as the opportunity for a new beginning.
The end of a job, the move away from a place you have loved, the end of a relationship, the end of a vacation, the end of a weight loss program…the end of a year of reading the Bible.
This week we are encouraged by the last book in the Bible to see our endings as beginnings.
What is “ending” in your world?
How might this be a “new beginning” for you?
This is the work of our God who rose Jesus from the dead.
Today may each of us walk with hope in what is ahead, knowing that when we do a small piece of heaven is found here on earth.
See you on Sunday,
Pastor Audrey
